Why is Isaiah 41:10 significant?

Isaiah is concerned with the connection between worship and ethical behavior. An important theme is that God is the God of the whole earth. No one can defeat God; if God's people suffer defeat in anything, it is only because God chooses for that to happen in order to strengthen us. Just as a loving parent corrects a child, so God uses situations in our lives to discipline us.

When bad circumstances arise we shouldn’t be afraid because:

1. God is with us
2. God has a relationship with us
3. God gives us assurance of his strength, help, and victory over sin and death
